If you are pursuing your degree in Human Resources or an HR-related field, NTXSHRM invites you to apply for this $1000 scholarship! Scholarships are awarded annually in November; the deadline to apply is September 30, 2026.  

The scholarship applicant must attend a school with an active SHRM Chapter in North Texas (TWU or UNT) and be pursuing a degree in an HR-related field. The scholarship recipient will be selected primarily on merit.

The scholarship applicant must:

  • Complete the application for a NTXSHRM Student Scholarship Award. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
  • Provide a 200-word (or more) essay explaining why you applied for this scholarship and how this scholarship will be relevant to you.
  • Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA.
  • Provide proof of a commitment for volunteerism.
Scholarship applicant will also be evaluated on the following:
  • Local SHRM chapter involvement
  • Commitment to the HR profession
  • Academic achievement (GPA)
  • Volunteerism/Community Service Activities/Work Experience
  • Financial need
